In loving memory of Gertrude "Jajja" Nyombi
She was a light, both gentle and strong,
In her warmth, we felt we belonged.
A heart full of kindness, love without end,
More than a grandmother — a treasured friend.
With faith unwavering, she walked her days,
Guided by grace, giving thanks and praise.
Through laughter, through tears, she stayed by our side,
Our comfort, our strength, our family’s guide.
To my mother-in-law, a sister and friend,
In love and in faith, bound until the end.
To my wife, a heart now left torn,
To our children, whose smiles she adorned.
Her spirit, a blessing, her memory bright,
A true matriarch, our anchor, our light.
Though she’s gone, her love shall remain,
In each beat of our hearts, through joy and through pain.
Rest well, dear grandmum, your journey is through —
We’ll carry your kindness in all that we do.
