In tribute to my departed loving dad, Kanani M. Wanyama
In the heart of my being, a song softly plays,
A tribute to you, in the sun’s golden rays.
Amongst many, a father, steadfast and true,
Guiding us, loving us, in skies gray and blue.
With hands strong and gentle, you sowed seeds of love,
A caring gardener, blessed from above.
Your laughter, a beacon in the darkest night,
Guiding us, holding us, making wrongs right.
You taught us to cherish, to live and to give,
In your actions, you showed us how to truly live.
Your love for the church, a testament so clear,
In faith, hope, and prayer, you held us near.
In the community, your spirit shone so bright,
A beacon of service, in the quiet of night.
Your legacy, a tapestry of love and care,
A story of devotion, beyond compare.
From a son to a father, now beyond our gaze,
In the heavens, I imagine, your spirit stays.
Your lessons, your love, a guiding star,
Forever in us, never afar.
Thank you, dear father, for all that you’ve done,
In the garden of life, you were the sun.
Your memory, a treasure, deeply we hold,
A story of love, forever retold.
