In every heartbeat, a quiet song,
A melody where you and I belong.
Mother, your love — a gentle tide,
In your arms, life’s storms subside.
From your wisdom, the roots I grew,
Nourished by care in everything you do.
Through seasons of joy, through trials grim,
You painted hope, on every brim.
Now the days gently shift the role,
In my heart, a solemn oath I hold.
To cradle you as you did for me,
Through tempests and calm, endlessly.
With every step, in every breath,
I’ll be your solace, from now till death.
In my embrace, your fears dispel,
With all my love, this I foretell.
Forever yours, in this life’s weave,
My promise, Mum, to never leave.
In my heart, your love’s deep hue,
I am because of you.
Author’s Note
This poem is a tribute to the endless love and sacrifice of my mother. It’s a promise to care for her just as she has always cared for me.
